Pulse - a youth-led festival of culture for Kent & Medway
Pulse with Connexions and Music for Change
In March "Music For Change" formed a partnership with "Connexions Canterbury" to coach local young people in putting on live musical events as part of the Future Creative Pulse project. "Future Creative" has funded eight cultural organisations throughout Kent to support young people in leading their own festivals and events
Music for Change's first event was on the 8 June at Orange Street Music Club.
The next event was on Sunday the 6th September at the Farmhouse, Canterbury. The event started at 6pm with DJ, MC and Urban Art workshops. There was live Drum and Bass and Hip-Hop music.
These events was for people ages 14 and over.
The Pulse Project instills life-skills, decision-making skills, and provides exposure to the world of work and to employers.
