Our Projects
Our mission leads us to focus on key issues and onto creating a wide range of bespoke projects. We take an innovative and creative approach to addressing issues, focusing on themes, and meeting the needs of participants. We develop cutting edge projects in collaboration with partners and in consultation with facilitators and potential participants.
Current and recent projects have touched on issues such as awareness raising about the Refugee and Asylum Seeker experience, Migration, the Environment, Black History and Heritage in the UK, Sport and Creativity, the UN Millennium Development Goals and Healthy Living. (See column on right for current and past project links).
The participants experience a number of benefits including acquiring new life skills and exploring their community and their place within it through creative learning activities. We aim to support and promote integration and community cohesion, as well as to educate about the diverse World in which we all live.
We partner a wide range of organisations including Music in Detention, Migrant Helpline, Stour Valley Arts, Kent Spitfires Study Centre, Canterbury Museum, Canterbury Cathedral Archives, Kent Children’s Fund, CP Kent, and Canterbury City Council.
We are very grateful to the many funders who support our project work including The Department for International Development, The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, The Arts Council, The Baring Foundation, Kent County Council, Canterbury City Council, and The Heritage Lottery Fund.
