Music for Change
.....is an arts charity that promotes awareness, understanding and respect for cultural diversity through music and the performing arts in order to achieve beneficial change.
We believe
.....not only in the intrinsic value of music and the arts but how these can play a vital role in breaking down barriers between people and cultures.
Our role
.....is to encourage people to challenge cultural preconceptions and celebrate not just cultural diversity but cultural commonality. From one-off live events to ongoing projects, the theme of intercultural understanding for a better and more tolerant world lies at the heart of all of Music for Change's work.
Our core work
.....involves organising workshops, both ‘one-offs’ and residencies, primarily involving young people. We place a strong emphasis on creativity and confidence building.
