Chilli Fried: The Afro-Latin Beat
BouGaRaBou & DJ Jamie Renton

20th August

Music for Change is proud to present...Chilli Fried; a new World Music night combining live music and DJs,

taking music back to its rhythmic roots and finding new and exiting ways to bring together sounds and cultures.

Chilli Fried is the brainchild of musician, artist and poet Neil Sparkes and DJ, promoter and fRoots journalist Jamie Renton.

Live on stage: BouGaRaBou (UK/Ghana). Exploring his love affair with African music, rhythms and drum traditions, Neil Sparkes formed BouGaRaBou to create a unique platform for his collaborations with African and Jazz artists including Ben Baddoo (Ghana), Alan Barnes (UK) and Laye Sow (Senegal). Incorporating music from Ghana, Central and West Africa with Jazz, Electronica and a healthy dose of Latin rhythm, BouGaRaBou are an unmissable live experience!

On the decks: Jamie Renton with Afro, Latin, global and funky flavours from the classic to the cutting edge.

¨BouGaRaBou play rootsy percussive music with a natural organic flavour- their masterful playing lays down an acoustic atmospheric groove with a heady mix of vocals, kora, balafon and drums.¨ - Big World
¨Chilli Fried is how London should be but never is. A great night with great music!¨ Charlie Gillett
