About us
Music for Change is an educational arts charity that promotes awareness, understanding and respect for cultural diversity through music and the performing arts in order to achieve beneficial change.
OUR WORK is broad. We specialise in educational workshops, celebratory events and specifically targeted projects in just about any setting!
OUR ARTISTS We work with artists who represent their own cultures from around the world. Our family of artists are from Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Senegal, Caribbean, India, Jamaica, South Africa, Argentina, Columbia and Bosnia. We currently work with over 150 artists but constantly search for new artists and interesting cultures. Find out more about them individually from our Artists page.
OUR TEAM – are skilled and dedicated specialist arts administrators, most are artists themselves. They are committed to the mission and development of the organisation. You can contact them from the Team Members links on the right.
Formed in 1997, by Tom Andrews, Music for Change evolved from a community project based in Canterbury, called Under One Sky. It has grown from a fledgling charity to become one of the UK’s leading organisations working within the educational and arts sector. Tom has recently acquired a Clore-Duffield Fellowship.
