"Music for Change has developed into one of the country's most successful and well respected education and community arts organisations. The passion, vision and conviction which the founder, staff and board have brought to the organisation's development has been at the heart of its success and we look forward to continuing our work together to bring the best quality art to the widest audience."

About us

Our Vision

That all members of the community, especially children and young people, fulfill their creative potential whilst respecting and celebrating cultural diversity.

Our Work is broad.  We specialise in educational workshops, celebratory events and specifically targeted projects in just about any setting!

Our Artists We work with artists who represent their own cultures from around the world. Our family of artists are from Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Senegal, Caribbean, India, Jamaica, South Africa, Argentina, Columbia and Bosnia. We currently work with over 150 artists but constantly search for new artists and interesting cultures. Find out more about them individually from our Artists page.

Our Team - are skilled and dedicated specialist arts administrators, most are artists themselves. They are committed to the mission and development of the organisation.

Formed in 1997, by Tom Andrews, Music for Change evolved from a community project based in Canterbury, called Under One Sky. It has grown from a fledgling charity to become one of the UK's leading organisations working within the educational and arts sector. Tom has recently acquired a Clore-Duffield Fellowship.
