Exploring global learning through music and dance
Visiting professional artists from, or influenced by, art forms from around the world, offer a rich and creative stimulus for learning with a global perspective. This workshop for primary teachers, will explore how to make the most of the opportunities that these experiences provide. The course will draw on the ideas in the resource Global learning in primary schools.

Alexander D. Great ~ A professional musician, composer, musical arranger and BBC Calypsonian in residence.

Day workshop for primary teachers
- What contribution can visiting artists make to global learning?
- How can these opportunities be used to support children's knowledge and understanding of an interdependent world?
- When planning these visits, what we are we looking for?
- What are we hoping to achieve?
We will be joined by artists involved in World Music Matters, a DFID funded project exploring global learning through the arts: Music for Change in partnership with Tide~ global learning
